Oproep onderzoek Baukultur Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts
The online survey is part of an extensive research project on behalf of the Swiss Federal Office of Culture (FOC). The FOC is the expert government body for Baukultur. It is committed to the promotion of high-quality Baukultur in Switzerland and beyond. It also protects built heritage and coordinates the Swiss Confederation’s Baukultur-related activities. To that end, the FOC advocates open dialogue among all involved parties. Europe’s ministers of culture approved the “Davos Declaration – high-quality Baukultur for Europe!” in response to an initiative by Switzerland in 2018 to achieve the goal of high-quality Baukultur. In 2020, the Federal Council approved the Baukultur policy, which was the outcome of a project led by the FOC working in cooperation with 15 federal agencies.
The survey aims to collect specific examples, especially from the field of spatial and urban development as well as the provision and regulation of housing, which have been developed or planned in, approximately, the past five to ten years and could shape the future of our living environments.
We see alternative approaches as projects, processes or instruments, which are new or experimental at the time of development or implementation. These alternative approaches either lie outside conventional, familiar or formalised Baukultur practice and/or complement it.
Many thanks for your support and valuable input to promoting high-quality Baukultur.
